The amount of ‘free investment advice’ available on the internet and at BBQs boggles my mind. Sadly it’s often touted by people with no qualifications…selling ‘financial freedom’ rather than a specific investment…to people looking for a quick solution to financial pain.

A client recently asked what I thought of an “opportunity” they’d come across.

It didn’t take much digging to discover it’s got all the hallmarks of something I’d be running from! The spruiker started by talking about an investment, but it soon turned into explaining a compensation plan. Compensation plans usually accompany a MLM rather than an investment.

It’s rather like going to a BBQ and being told how to invest…or not to invest…by someone who has no personal investment experience and no proof of success.

Please due your diligence before committing your money to anything. There’s an old saying…buyer beware! Please be aware.
