There’s time when family are frustrating…yeah, we love them, but sometimes we can borderline hate them!
A client just shared her brother is being difficult…Now Dad’s no longer around to keep him in check they don’t know what to do!
He’s occupying a property jointly owned by 5 people, he’s meant to have kept the property in top shape and he hasn’t. Now he doesn’t want to sell despite the other owners wanting, and needing, to!
Today’s tip…Get a formal agreement, in writing, before you buy anything with family make sure there’s an exit plan including agreed triggers for sale/exit.
Oh, and be sure to get legal advice on the matter so it’s binding on all parties when you start so that you know the outcome when you’re winding things up.
